Egarri Edariak: Responsibility, sustainability, proximity

At Egarri Edariak, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is much more than a concept: it's a true commitment essential to a sustainable future.

CSR means integrating ethical, environmental and social practices into every stage of our business.

This translates into responsible production (energy autonomy, water management), sustainable packaging (deposits, cans, solidarity caps) and rigorous waste management.

We are also committed to the well-being of our teams, the preservation of the Basque language and the support of our local partners, while promoting the richness of our terroir. For us, combining performance and positive impact is a priority.

Energy autonomy

1000m2 of photovoltaic panels (214kWc power) installed on our factory in Ayherre as well as 200m² on the roof of our offices in Bayonne.​​

Cans

For our new ABARRATIA beer brand, we've chosen the can, a material that can be recycled ad infinitum. What's more, metal generates 2 times less CO2 than glass.

RPET attached cap

Since 2024, our EUSKOLA soft drinks have been bottled in RPET (30% recycled plastic). Our caps are made locally, less than 100 km from our site.

100% of waste sorted and recycled.
Collaboration with BIHUR, a young company that recycles our production waste to make responsible glassware.

Organization of one waste collection a year in partnership with the SURFRIDER association, and awareness-raising among employees and in our networks.

Our offer? A wide range of Basque craft beverages promoting Basque culture: local culture and bilingual communication.

Local sourcing

Maximum local sourcing to produce our beverages: malts and hops from the Basque Country for our Abarratia beer, apples from Bardos and Yuzu from Ayherre for our juices, apples from Irissarry for our sagardo, etc.

We are committed to the EUSKO local currency scheme, and give preference to suppliers who have also chosen EUSKO.

Organic farming whenever it's possible, as with our BALEA range of organic craft beers, AMALUR wines, PRESSOIR juices and KUPELA sagardoas.
